The aim of the Centre for Terrestrial Carbon Dynamics is to solve the equations for the terrestrial carbon balance, at a variety of scales, by a combination of modelling and data. Key to improving current understanding is quantifying the uncertainties associated with such calculations and analysing how best to reduce such uncertainties.
